Soror vel filia Pomponii Graecini, qui consul sub Augusto; et ad quem Elegia ovidii l. 4. de Ponto. Plautio nupta, Christianismi, sive ut tunc confundebatur, Iudaismi accusata, ac mariti iudicio permissa est. Is priscô institutô propinquis coram de capite famaque coniugis cognovit et insontem nuntiavit. Nerone secundum L. Pisone Consulib. Tacit. l. 13. Annal. c. 32. Longa huic Pomponiae aetas et continua tristitia fuit. Nam. post Iuliam Drusi filiam, dolô Messalinae, interfectam, per quadraginta annos, non cultu nisi lugubri, non animô nisi maestô egit, idque illi imperitante Claudiô impune mox ad gloriam vertit.
